Continuing from Part 1 here's another selection of classic Italian Horror from the Golden Age Of Horror.

DEMONS 2 (1986) DIR:LAMBERTO BAVA

Following up from the success of the first film from 1985 Bava gives us another fun and gore filled ride which this time tells of a group of people who are trapped inside an appartment building,trying to avoid the onslaught of the Demons who make their way into the world via a TV! This film is noted for being the first film that Asia Argento appeared in.

THE LAST HUNTER (1980) DIR:ANTONIO MARGHERETI

Following the grisly suicide of his shellshocked friend, Captain Harry Morris (David Warbeck, The Beyond) accepts one final mission: to go behind enemy lines and destroy a Viet Cong radio tower broadcasting anti-American propaganda to US troops.

Aided by a ragtag squadron of commandos and shadowed by a beautiful photojournalist (Tisa Farrow, Zombie), Morris carries out his search and destroy mission with extreme prejudice, straight into the heart of darkness.

CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE (1980) DIR:ANTONIO MARGHERITI

Giovanni Lambardo Radice and John Saxon are Vietman vets that bring back a contagious virus that turnS people into cannibals when bitten.

ANTHROPOPHAGUS (1980) DIR:JOE D'AMATO

Noted as being one of the Uks notorious Video Nasties this film is in fact a bit of a chore to sit through but if you can manage it you'll be rewarded with some pretty extreme gore scenes including the famous fetus eating moment!The story tells of a group of tourists who become stranded on an uninhabited island where they are stalked by an insane, violent, and grotesque killer that slaughtered the town's former residents.This is the Italian trailer which has some alternate takes on scenes.

BEYOND THE DARKNESS (1979) DIR:JOE D'AMATO

A young rich orphan loses his fiancée to voodoo doll mischief on the part of his housekeeper who is jealous of his attentions. He digs his girlfriend up, cleans her out, stuffs her, and puts her in bed at the mansion. Following this, he tries out and disposes of a series of young maidens, trying to find the right replacement for her, and the disapproving housekeeper helps him with the disposals.

THE SECT (1991) DIR:MICHELE SAOVI

A spree of grisly murders is perpetrated in Frankfurt by a group of Satan worshippers. A school teacher almost runs over an old man with a box and takes him in. It's no accident that the old man has come into her life, and it quickly becomes apparent that he has plans for her, plans that involve a permanent future with the Satanic cult.

DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE (1994) DIR:MICHELE SAOVI

This movie is based on a novel of Tiziano Sclavi, and it always reflects the "sclavian philosophy" diffused by the most succesful comics in Italy: Dylan Dog, the detective of the nightmare. There is the duality between love and dead (in Italian "dellamore" means "of love" and "dellamorte" means "of death"), a duality that Dellamorte feels in a really hard way. He is the guardian of the cemetery of Buffalora, a little town in the north of Italy, in which, we don't know why, corpses rise from tombs and Dellamorte has to destroy them. Dellamorte seems not to ask to himself why this happenS, he shoots and loves. But at the end he wants to leave Buffalora...

MASK OF SATAN (1960) DIR:MARIO BAVA

A vengeful witch and her fiendish servant return from the grave and begin a bloody campaign to possess the body of the witch's beautiful look-alike descendant.Considered by many as Bava's finest hour!

BLACK SABBATH (1963) DIR:MARIO BAVA

A trio of atmospheric horror tales about: A woman terrorized in her apartment by phone calls from an escaped prisoner from her past; a Russian count in the early 1800s who stumbles upon a family in the countryside trying to destroy a particularly vicious line of vampires; and a 1900-era nurse who makes a fateful decision while preparing the corpse of one of her patients - an elderly medium who died during a seance.

BAY OF BLOOD (1971) DIR:MARIO BAVA

An elderly heiress is killed by her husband who wants control of her fortunes. What ensues is an all-out murder spree as relatives and friends attempt to reduce the inheritance playing field, complicated by some teenagers who decide to camp out in a dilapidated building on the estate
